Macro Offshore is committed to maintaining high ethical standards, and has established Codes of Conduct applicable for all business processes and all individuals who work for, or act on behalf of, the company.


Macro Offshore shall comply with applicable national and international rules and regulations, and we apply acknowledged standards and best practices throughout our business operations. Our Integrated Management System shall be in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, and we are committed to continuously improving the efficiency of the management system with respect to business conduct and quality, health and safety of personnel as well as environmental impact from the company’s operation.


Bjørn Eie Henriksen, CEO

Mr. Henriksen has more than 30 years of offshore industry experience. Mr. Henriksen has previously held the position as CEO of Prosafe Production, President of Prosafe’s Accommodation Business and CFO and COO of Prosafe SE in addition to various managerial positions in Transocean and Arthur Andersen. Mr. Henriksen is an State Authorized Public Accountant. 
Daniel Samuelsen, CFO

Mr. Samuelsen has several years of  experience from various industries, including cost controller of the Haven at Johan Sverdrup Project, Team Leader and controller in Finero AS, as well as project financial controller in Aker Solutions. Mr. Samuelsen holds a MSc. in Finance from the University in Stavanger.
Tom Friestad, COO

Mr. Friestad has 20 years of oil & gas experience, including Operations & Technical Manager of Macro Offshore Management AS, Completion Manager of the Haven @ Johan Sverdrup Project, CEO of Sandaband AS, Operations Manager at Prosafe Drilling Services AS as well as experience from offshore operations. Mr. Friestad have a formal Technical background.


Robert Furuhjelm – Chairman of the Board
Mr. Furuhjelm joined NC Advisory, advisor to the Nordic Capital funds, in 2003. Prior to joining Nordic Capital he worked for SEB Corporate Finance in London and Helsinki. Between 1994 and 1996 he worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in London. Mr Furuhjelm holds a BSc in Economics from the Swedish School of Economics and Business Administration in Helsinki. Master Marine, Board member since October 2017.

Morten Faye Eriksen – Board member
Mr. Eriksen joined NC Advisory, advisor to the Nordic Capital funds, in 2018. From 2016-2018 he worked in the investment banking division of Pareto Securities. Mr. Eriksen holds a MSc in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics and a BSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics and University of California Berkeley.

Frank Tripoli – Board member
Mr. Tripoli has been with Paragon Outcomes Management LLC, a New York based Registered Investment Adviser, since 2009 and serves as its Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer.  Prior to 2009, Mr. Tripoli was a Director and Senior Analyst at Tremont Capital Management where he was responsible for the Relative Value and Credit strategies.  He started his career at JPMorgan Chase.  Mr. Tripoli earned a BS in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
Thomas Hollins – Board member
Mr. Hollins has been with Paragon since 2013 and is a Partner and Principal on the investment team.  Prior to joining Paragon, Mr. Hollins was a private equity and debt investor at PineBridge Investments and AIG Investments, where he was responsible for making direct investments across the capital structure. Previously, Mr. Hollins served as an investment banking analyst at Wachovia Securities.  Mr. Hollins received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Emory University.


Macro Offshore was created through a merger between Master Marine AS and Crossway Holdings in December 2019. The first vessel, HAVEN, was completed in 2011 and immediately commenced operations on the Ekofisk field in the North Sea. 

Crossway Holdings was established by a team of leading accommodation and investment professionals to own and operate offshore jack-up accommodation vessels.
